Brief Synopsis – A behind the scenes look at how Pixar was created and survived to be the successful company that they have become
My Take on it – I have always loved watching Pixar movies and when I saw that there was a documentary made about how it came to be, I had to watch it. I was enthralled throughout the whole movie. It shows how John Lasseter and friends thought of the idea of computer generated animation and how they persevered throughout the years to eventually make Toy Story (1995). The documentary chronicles the Pixar successes of their full length movies Toy Story (1995), A Bugs Life (1998), Toy Story 2 (1999), Monsters Inc. (2001), Finding Nemo (2003), The Incredibles (2004) , Cars (2006) and Ratatouille (2007).
What amazed me the most was how much home video they filmed throughout the years documenting many of the successes and pitfalls of the fledgling company.
They also didn’t sugarcoat the stress it put on the filmmakers and their families during their quest for the imaginable that no one else thought could be achieved.
Highly recommended!!
Bottom Line – If you love Pixar movies, you will love this behind-the-scenes look on how they strived to succeed thru all their ups and downs. A must-see for lovers of Pixar animation movies
Rating – Oscar Worthy (10/10)
