Happythankyoumoreplease (2010)

happythankyou“I realized the problem. You write short stories… and I think you like living short stories, but I’m kinda ready for the novel.” – Mississippi

Number of Times Seen – 1 (3 April 2013)

Brief Synopsis – A young writer with writers-block tries to find love and happiness in modern day NYC.

My Take on it – Josh Radnor will always be typecast as Ted Mosby and even if he grows a beard that wont change. That being said,  I actually enjoyed this movie very much. There are a few plot points that seem a bit extreme, but all in all, I found myself enthralled by the characters constantly wanting to get to know them more and more.

I think that Radnor (who also wrote and directed this movie) needs to find source material where he, as the main character won’t be constantly recognized as Ted Mosby. I’d be very interested in seeing him play more diverse characters.

Nice supporting performance by Malin Ackerman as Annie.

Bottom Line – Although a bit over-the-top, I still enjoyed this movie and found the characters interesting. Recommended

Rating – Globe Worthy (8/10)
