“A Walkman? Do you have to get in a time machine before you use that?” – Andrew Brewster
Number of Times Seen – 1 (5 May 2013)
Brief Synopsis – A mother and her inventor son take a trip across the US to try and sell his new cleaning product
My Take on it – I have always loved Seth Rogan movies and detested Barbara Streisand ones. So what do you do? I guess you grin and bear it and watch the movie. I thought it was pretty good, a bit better than mediocre, but there are a few scenes in the movie (and a few short scenes after the credits begin) that really redeem the rest of the movie. Unfortunately, I laughed more during the credit scenes then thru most of the movie, but maybe that’s why they included them at the end.
Don’t know how I feel about the main message of the movie, but since you don’t get that until the end, you can still enjoy the movie without that ruining your perspective.
Bottom Line – Had some funny lines, not a great movie, but also not horrendous. If you like these kind of comedies, go see it.
