“You speak English? They teach you that where you come from? ‘Cause you know what they teach me? Is how to extract information from people like you.” – Mike Banning
Number of Times Seen – 1 (2 Jul 2013)
Brief Synopsis – A former secret service agent must save the President and his staff when terrorists take over the White House
My Take on it – Throughout the 2 hours that my wife and I were watching this movie, we kept asking each other when will John McClane show up and make this movie better.
Ever since Die Hard (1988) made the one man against many genre extremely popular, many studio have tried (unsuccessfully) to copy that idea. This movie is a definitely in that genre, but relies too much on lots of shooting, lots of blood and lots of swearing to make up for the fact that the plot isn’t so complicated and/or interesting.
This movie was entertaining, but I woulda been happier watching Die Hard (1988) instead.
Bottom Line – A bad “re-make” of Die Hard (1988). Lots of dead bodies and action. Not gonna win many awards but entertaining none the less.
Rating – BAFTA Worthy
Oh man, I’m sorry you weren’t SUPER entertained by it. Of course it was a bad copy of Die Hard, not even a question, but I thought it was one of the most entertaining movie I’ll see all year!

I think the problem was I had higher expectations for it and hoped it would be better 😦
never good to expect greatness from a movie 🙂

I try not to read reviews before seeing a movie so I can form my own opinion.
