Brief Synopsis – 6 former heads of the Israeli Intelligence Service discuss the moral and political implications of heading such an organization
My Take on it – It is always difficult watching a movie where you don’t 100% agree with what is being said, but I found this movie very open and honest about it’s subject matter despite that fact.
All 6 former heads of the IIS have little to lose to reflect on their own actions and of the others so they all try to be brutally honest.
What makes this interesting is that each and every one of them speak differently now that they are retired than they had acted during their service.
The big question remains: Are they truer to themselves now looking back or when they acted during their service based on their own convictions?
We will never know what they truly feel, but like most movies, they follow the way the Director wants the story to be told which is usually one-sided, especially dealing with this kind of a subject matter.
Bottom Line – Interesting movie, very one sided, but informative. Recommended
Rating – Globe Worthy
