“Those men aren’t going to pay ten bucks to look at your face; this is Broadway!” – Eddie Kearns
Number of Times Seen – 1 (6 Oct 2013)
Brief Synopsis – Two sisters try to join a Broadway musical being put on by a friend of theirs.
My Take on it – This movie was sooo boring. Uninteresting plot, terrible dialogue and banal musical numbers.
I guess one of the draws of this movie in 1929 was the fact that it was a musical in an era of silent movies.
The dialogue was a bit risque for that time, but for a modern movie goer it is somewhat tame.
I guess it was such a spectacle in it’s day, but it doesn’t hold up 85 years later.
Bottom Line – Complete waste of time. Don’t bother.
Rating – Razzie Worthy
