“[to his daughter] That’s one of the advantages of being an adult. You get to act like a kid anytime you feel like it.” – Jack Taylor
Number of Times Seen – at least 5 times (in theater, video, DVD, 27 Oct 2000 and 9 Nov 2013)
Brief Synopsis – Two very busy divorcees must work together to keep their jobs while taking turns watching each others kids during a very hectic day.
My Take on it – Saw this one in the theater when it came out and truly enjoyed it.
The Chemistry between stars George Clooney and Michelle Pfeiffer really works here and they work well off each other throughout this “hectic” day.
Being divorced myself, I could relate to many of the stereotypes that each character throws upon the other and my (second) wife and I definitely could relate to many of the issues that both characters had to deal with.
Great supporting roles by Charles Durning, Holland Taylor, Amanda Peete, Joe Grifasi, Sheila Kelley and Robert Klein
The music in the movie is also done extremely well and I truly love the theme song by Kenny Loggins.
Hear it here.
Bottom Line- Nice, romantic comedy. great chemistry between Pfeiffer and Clooney. Great music. Recommended!
Rating – Globe Worthy

How have I missed this review of one of my favourites?
I never tire of watching One Fine Day mainly because Pfeiffer and Clooney were able to find that rare and elusive thing: chemistry. Remarkable, considering that most of their screen-time was apart.

They worked so well off of their ‘hatred’ of one another endearing them to us. To try and find any other reviews you may have missed check out my A-Z index of reviews. There are close to 900 reviews so far
