“Have you seen my daughter?” – Kyle
Number of Times Seen – 2 (26 Nov 2005 and 29 Dec 2013)
Brief Synopsis – A woman traveling back to America with her daughter must fight for her life and sanity when her daughter disappears aboard the plane and all records of her having boarded the plane do not exist.
My Take on it – This psychological thriller was pretty good the first time I saw it, but unfortunately like many other thrillers/suspense movies, it loses much of its impact during subsequent viewings.
This movie has a great cast with Jodie Foster, Sean Bean and Peter Sarsgaard all performing very well.
What’s interesting is that both Bean and Sarsgaard have stated that in real life they both have a fear of flying.
As I stated earlier, the plot is quite good, but once you know what will happen it loses much of its punch. There are many thrillers where watching it subsequent times gives you more insight into the plot and sometimes even enhances the viewing experience.
Here they unfortunately weren’t able to achieve that level of suspense.
Bottom Line – Nice thriller that is best during the first viewing. Subsequent viewing aren’t as thrilling as they should be.
Rating – BAFTA Worthy

Agree. Good for one viewing but I doubt I’ll ever watch it again.
