Brief Synopsis – Tony Stark is at it once again, this time, he must foil the devious plans of the villain/terrorist known as The Mandarin.

My Take on it – This is the first solo Avenger movie following the Teaming up of Iron Man, The Hulk, Thor and Captain America in The Avengers (2012) and this movie continues the saga of the series.

Robert Downey Jr. returns as Tony Stark/Iron Man and Gwyneth Paltrow also returns as his assistant/girlfriend Pepper Potts.

Ben Kingsley is superb as the menacing Mandarin and Guy Pierce is almost unrecognizable as a software engineer who may have solved a big clue in human evolution.

The action in this movie continues to be “edge of the seat” like in all the previous movies in the series.

Once again, Downey Jr. shows that he IS Tony Stark and this movie shows that the character has a great mix of humor and brains that he can use to find a way to foil the bad guys.

Bottom Line – Fun third addition to the Iron Man series and also a strong beginning to the continuing adventures of the Avenger’s following their first teaming up in The Avengers (2012)

Rating – Globe Worthy (no change from original review)
