Brief Synopsis – When a princess who has special powers enabling her to create ice accidentally turns her kingdom into a perpetual winter, her sister teams up with an outdoorman to find her and restore proper weather to the kingdom.
My Take on it – I gotta say that I was much more enthralled with this movie the first time I saw it than I was now.
Certain movies capture the imagination in such a way during the original viewing that is difficult to retain upon further viewings.
This is unfortunately one of them.
That isn’t to say that I didn’t like it, it still is worthy of being in my top 10 for 2013 and is the best animated film of the year, but it was less magical for me the second time around.
The music is still great here with numerous catchy tunes and I still think that this movie is worthy of being in the upper echelon of Disney animated features due to its story and music, but it just didn’t grab me as well this time.
I liked the main characters of Elsa, Anna, Kristoff and Olaf because they were all developed quite well and obviously we are meant to like them. What disappointed me tho were Hans and the Duke. Hans is somewhat developed, but his personality changes way too quickly and The Duke is just a caricature who isn’t developed at all.
I liked how this movie (in Disney fashion) is both entertaining and funny for kids and has a story that adults can appreciate for its message.
Bottom Line – Very well made Disney animated feature, worthy of being in the canon. Entertaining for both children and adults alike. Highly Recommended!
Rating – Oscar Worthy (No change from original review)

It was a good film no doubt about that, Disney again showing amazing work however it wasn’t for my taste with all the singing and music. Despite that I do think it deserved the Oscar 🙂

I thought Hans badly developed the first time I saw this, not to mention the second. So I’ll agree with you there.
Definitely a very good movie.

his character changed too quickly…it was weird how they did that.
Thanks JJ!
