“Do yourself a favor and don’t think so much. It gives you premature wrinkles.” – Margo Masse
Number of Times Seen – 1 (2 Apr 2014)
Brief Synopsis – A teenager meets and falls in love with a really nice boy who slowly starts to show his true colors which scares her and everyone close to her.
My Take on it – This movie was recommended to me by Jenna of See it or skip it! and although I don’t think I liked this nearly as much as she did, I can understand why she would like the main character played by Mark Wahlberg.
What’s interesting is that if you would have looked at this cast in 1996, you wouldn’t have seen much besides Alyssa Milano, but looking at it now, 18 years later, the top 5 billed actors are all known for giving great performances.
Besides Milano and Wahberg, we get a very young Reese Whitherspoon, William Peterson and Amy Brenneman.
With these 5 actors, how could this movie go wrong, right?
Well, the problem here is the script which is your typical psycho revenge type script.
This movie doesn’t give us anything new to the genre and it’s only worth watching to see these 5 actors do their best despite the script.
Bottom Line – Great cast, but even they can’t help this mediocre script.
Rating – BAFTA Worthy

I’m glad to hear you watched this, great summary!
I think a lot of the reason why I enjoy this movie is its cheesy predictable-ness. That sounds weird, but it’s just a fun, ridiculous turn-your-brain-off type of movie, featuring some of awesome actors.
Thanks for mentioning my blog!

I understand what your saying, but I like Wahlberg as the hero or anti-hero, not as the psycho in general.
Thank YOU for the recommendation! Love hearing about movies that I missed.
I’m actually thinking about doing a month where I ONLY review movies recommended by others (if there are enough). because I enjoy tips on new movies that Ive never seen

figured you’d like a movie that seemed like a documentary about your stalking days after you graduated high school 🙂

I liked this movie back then, but honestly all I remember when I try to think about it is the scene with the dog, the two in the roller coaster, and … that’s it. Ha. I gotta give it another watch. Nice Review!

those are both interesting scenes, but the movie as a whole isn’t so great IMHO.
Thanks for stopping by Simon!

It is a typical 90’s low budget movie. I am thinking of movies like Below Utopia with Alyssa Milano. Not great but kills time.

hmmm.. gotta disagree with you on that one. I prefer to “kill” time with movies that are enjoyable 🙂
