“People aren’t always what they appear to be. Don’t forget that!” Ray Duquette
Number of Times Seen – at least 5 times (video, cable, 26 Aug 2000, DVD and 3 Apr 2014)
Brief Synopsis – A high school guidance counselor is accused of raping two different girls and must find a way to prove his innocence.
My Take on it – Certain movies are written so well that you get hooked and find them very interesting right from the start.
This is one of those movies, because it is cleverly written and keeps you wondering whats really happening throughout because they throw in lots of red herrings but also tell us the truth sometimes.
This is a movie that you can only fully appreciate during a second viewing, but too many viewing can dull the impact that it may have on you.
Great cast led by Matt Dillon, Kevin Bacon, Theresa Russell, Neve Campbell, Denise Richards, Bill Murray and Robert Wagner.
Be sure to stick around during the credits for an interesting few extra scenes.
Bottom Line – Thriller that is filled with twists and turns. Always best on first viewing with a refresher during the second. Excellent cast. Recommended!
Rating – Globe Worthy

Yeah I gotta admit I kinda love this movie. It’s a definite guilty-pleasure, but I’ll also admit it is extremely well-written. Hence my attraction (and which has NOTHING to do at all with Denise Richards)

guilty pleasure…not sure I’d call it that, but it was a real wild ride.

There’s a lot of fun to be had with Wild Things. It was a real eye-opener when I first saw it as a teenager!
