“The wolf is the most dangerous terrorist this world has ever faced. Only you can stop him.” – Vivi
Number of Times Seen – 1 (7 May 2014)
Brief Synopsis – A dying CIA agent is offered an experimental drug that could save his life if he agrees to assassinate several key people in a terrorist organization
My Take on it – I have been looking forward to seeing this movie for a few months based solely on what I saw in the coming attractions.
Unfortunately, the preview was much better than the movie itself.
Kevin Costner has proven time and again that he is no longer leading man material no matter the genre. He should just accept the fact that he is now better as a supporting character. He was very good in both the Man of Steel (2013) as Clark Kent’s father and as Jack Ryan’s mentor in Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit (2014).
This movie just wasn’t as enjoyable as a thriller should be.
There were too many places where they just missed the mark, leaving me feeling that something was always lacking.
This movie just doesn’t know whether it wants to be an action thriller, a comedy thriller or a movie about a father/daughter relationship.
They should have just stuck with one of them and followed thru on that and maybe this movie would have been able to rise above its mediocre status.
Bottom Line – Poorly executed movie which leaves this potential amazing thriller as merely a mediocre one.
Rating – BAFTA Worthy

Costner’s presence made it slightly better than average. Although it definitely wasn’t perfect. Good review.

slightly, but I truly think he should be done as a lead. He seems perfect to now be in supporting roles.

yeah, I can’t give this one a whole lot of credit but I was pleasantly surprised I’ll say that much. I think Costner can play a lead man given the right material. I actually found him great in Draft Day recently. not sure if you’ve seen that?
