Number of Times Seen – 1 (11 May 2014)
Brief Synopsis – A superhero must deal with figuring out his own true identity when superheroes have lost all government funding.
My Take on it – I liked the premise of this movie, but in the end it was truly a really poorly made movie.
I liked the idea of trying to deal with the whole issue of super heroes having identity crises between their super persona’s and their secret ones.
They pointed out some very funny “issues” dealing with superheroes like what do they do with their clothes when they change into their super costumes? They obviously litter the parks with them which ends up causing new ordinances being passed to ban that by the government.
They also bring up the issue of the absurdity of a mask over ones eyes successfully allowing a crime fighter to be able to hide his secret identity even from those close to him. One character even has a dual relationship with his girlfriend (she actually is having an affair with the superhero while going out with his secret identity) and he is afraid she will discover his true identity, so he keeps the mask and costume on even during lovemaking.
Other than those two things, this movie is really horrid and isn’t worth watching.
Bottom Line – Terrible movie. Brings up some great questions about superheroes and their secret identities. Regardless, it still not really worth watching.
Rating – Razzie Worthy
