“Some lucky boy’s about to hit the honey pot. The winner will receive an evening of my company. I’ll bring everything you see here, plus, everything you don’t.” – Poison Ivy
Number of Times Seen – probably 5 times or so (Theater in ’97, cable, DVD and 13 May 2014)
Brief Synopsis – Batman and his new sidekick Robin must work together to defeat the villains Mr. Freeze and Poison Ivy who want to freeze all of Gotham.
My Take on it – This was Schumacher final foray into the Batman franchise due largely to the fact that they once again tried to make the themes of the movie too light which contrasts with Batman’s Dark persona.
The choice of George Clooney as Batman was a good choice at the time, but looking back, he was probably the worst choice to don the mask since Adam West in teh 60’s.
He was out shown here by both Arnold Schwarzenegger and Uma Thurman as the two villains.
Chris O’Donnell returns as Robin with Alicia Silverstone attempting to fill the role of Batgirl.
But alas, the light (and comical) mood in this movie doomed the franchise and they (and we of course) would have to wait 8 years for another Caped Crusader to appear.
Bottom Line – Not the best Batman sequel, but still fun. Clooney was an interesting choice for the role of The Caped Crusader.
Rating – BAFTA Worthy

I resented this film. It was cheesy, it was awful, it was terribly put together, wtf was up with the Bat Nips (REALLY?!). I don’t know, I hated how Bane was portrayed as Ivy’s bitch, the dialogue was cringe worthy… not a fan haha. LOVE your review and take on it though Rob!
