The Matrix Revolutions (2003)

Number of Times Seen – 2 (14 Apr 2004 and 11 Jun 2014)

Brief Synopsis – The people of Zion must defend their city with is being besieged by the Matrix and it’s minions.

My Take on it – As I mentioned in my review of The Matrix Reloaded (2002), I believe that the we4akest parts of these movies are the ones in the city of Zion itself.

Unfortunately, most of this movie takes place there.

This is clearly the weakest of the trilogy and it just seems to limp along most of the way.

The goings-on inside The Matrix are downplayed here and this movie suffers because of it.

Movies like this will always be compared to the original and this one doesn’t come even close to resembling what we all loved about the first chapter.

This storyline feels like it was just tacked on to make some money, not caring that the story just gets way to confusing (in The matrix) or way too silly (in Zion).

Now I remember why I only watched this one once and never turned back. 😦

Bottom Line – Weakest of the trilogy.  They probably should have kept it at two. The story unfortunately just ran out of steam along the way.

Rating – BAFTA Worthy
