Once (2007)

once “During the daytime people would want to hear songs that they know, just songs that they recognize. I play these song at night or I wouldn’t make any money. People wouldn’t listen” – Guy

Number of Times Seen – 1 (16 Jun 2014)

Brief Synopsis – An Irish street musician teams up with a young Czech girl to make a musical album.

My Take on it – This was actually a strange movie to watch because very little actually happens

The plot was almost non existent and it seemed as if it was just made so that we could watch the two main characters talk about their lives and for them to play music while singing.

The music was actually quite entertaining and inspiring, but I felt that the movie could have been so much better than it was.

The potential was there, but just not executed properly.

Bottom Line – Very simple movie that could have been much better.  The music tho is truly inspiring

Rating – BAFTA Worthy

  2. I haven’t seen this yet despite hearing all kinds of good things about it. I might give it a shot at some point tho, it does sound enchanting even if it’s not perfect.
