The Raid 2: Berandal (2014)

Number of Times Seen – 1 (4 Jul 2014)

Brief Synopsis – Two hours after the previous movie ends, Rama is sent on a deep undercover mission to infiltrate a crime organization.

My Take on it – I enjoyed the way the plot of this movie was developed. The storyline is somewhat reminiscent of Infernal Affairs (2002) and the way they deal with a deep undercover agent was done well. I could feel his anguish, but also his dedication to truth and justice.

The action sequences are amazingly choreographed and for those who like all out action/ martial arts movies will surely enjoy the fight scenes in this movie.

My only problem with this movie is the fact that they spent too much time and energy on the fight scenes instead of developing the plot of undercover intrigue in a more complete way.

Bottom Line – Intriguing storyline, but they spend too much time on the action sequences instead of developing the plot better. Recommended!

Rating – Globe Worthy
