“Don’t look at me. I do what he does – just slower. ” – Sam Wilson
Number of Times Seen – 1 (3 Aug 2014)
Brief Synopsis – The continuing adventures of Steve Rogers aka Captain America as he fights injustice while trying to acclimate to the modern world.
My Take on it – I have been anticipating seeing this movie for months and am so glad that I finally got to see it.
Captain America is my favorite Marvel superhero not just because of what he stands for, but also because he has the best motivations for everything he does; he is the epitome of being an all around ‘good guy’ who will sacrifice everything to do what is right.
I dont wanna give away spoilers but the action scenes are amazing. My favorites were the scenes in traffic and in the elevator but basically they all were great.
I heard that the directors went to great lengths to try not to use special effects as much as possible to give more realism to the movie.
The story is great and I was on the edge of my seat throughout constantly trying to guess what would happen.
Can’t wait for the next installment!
Bottom Line – Amazingly done superhero action movie that builds so well on the original movie. Excellent action sequences that minimally use special effects to create an interesting and intriguing story. Can’t wait for the next one. Highly recommended!
Rating – Oscar Worthy

Good review. It was a very exciting movie, even though it could get very dark at times.

Woo hoo! Glad you love this too Rob! Cap is my fave superhero too and The Winter Soldier is an excellent film, I love the espionage aspect of it but most of all, I’m so fully invested in the lead character that it leaves a lasting impression. It’s so much more than just a Summer popcorn movie.

Fantastic film this one. I thought it was excellent, and it had some more depth to it than the films usually do. Definitely a favourite superhero of mine, and the action sequences were simply amazing. Not to mention that the Winter Soldier was THRILLING. ❤ Good review!
