Number of Times Seen – 3 (30 Jul 2009, May 2010 and 3 Aug 2014)

Brief Synopsis – On a wild and crazy night in NYC, two teens join together to find a secret underground concert performance all the while discussing their past relationships and their mutual love of music.

My Take on it – The first time I saw this movie, I had little clue as to what I was getting myself into.
Many of the themes and situations reminded me of my high school years.

So many other movies have tackled the same theme dealing with teenager going on an all night spree while in the process getting to kniw each other very well.

The difference here tho is the amazing chemistry between the two lead actors: Michael Cera and Kat Dennings.

The two of them were born to play opposite one another and give off a feeling that they are real people who there appearances alone can make us think that we knew them at some point in our lives.

This movie works so well because of them and their chemistry.

The dialogue and script itself are extremely well written, the source material must be amazing.

Every time I watch this movie, I am reminded that I want to one day read the book this was based on.

Great cameos by numerous SNL alum.

Bottom Line – Great teen romance movie. Touches on many themes that are frequented in these kind of movies. Great chemistry between Dennings and Cera is what makes this work so well. Highly recommended!

Rating – Oscar Worthy
