I welcome Rob back today with yet another review for our Alfred Hitchcock Blogathon! Let’s see if he lucked out with a better movie this time around!

Why are all the Hitchcock movies I review from his early years so boring?

Waltzes From Vienna joins the likes of The Ring, The Farmer’s Daughter and Juno and Paycock as being some of the most boring movies I’ve had to sit thru.

This movie was extremely boring to me and the only element that I found somewhat interesting was the music.

This was Hitchcock’s only musical and he even admitted on a few occasions  that this was one of his worst films.  He supposedly only took the job because he had nothing else lined up for the year.  He claimed that the one thing that he was able to perfect from making this movie was the use of music in tense situations…
