Number of Times Seen – 1 (8 Sep 2014)

Brief Synopsis – A man tells a tale of a mysterious attraction from a carnival that is uses for being able to foretell the future.

My Take on it – I have never been a fan of movies from the silent era and was somewhat skeptical when this was recommended to me because of that.

I think my biggest problem with silent films is that they require me to not multi-task in order to actually understand what is going on. 🙂

What surprised me about this movie was the fact that it uses many ideas that are still prevalent today.

This was the first movie to use flashbacks to tell a story and also has a bunch of twists and turns in the plot along with lots of surprises throughout.

Bottom Line – One of the first thrillers ever made that also introduced the idea of twists and flashbacks in the movies. Recommended!

Rating – Globe Worthy
