Number of Times Seen – 1 (9 Sep 2014)

Brief Synopsis – A teenager who has visions of a rabbit telling him what to do must try to figure out whether it’s all real or whether he is having a psychological breakdown or is it perhaps something else entirely.

My Take on it – I can’t even think of an explanation as to why I have avoided this movie on purpose for so many years.

I suppose that I for some strange reason always perceived this as a horror movie instead of the sci-fi thriller that it is.

I am extremely glad that my incorrect assumption has been proven wrong. I enjoyed this movie immensely while knowing that I’ll have to see it again in order to understand it better because there is so much going on here on multiple levels.

The acting is great. The standout is obviously Jake Gyllenhaal in one of his first roles.

Bottom Line – Movie that can be understood and enjoyed on multiple levels. Love the mix of genres here between Drama, thriller and sci-fi. Great performances by all especially Gyllenhaal. Highly recommended!

Rating – Oscar Worthy
