two faces of january“I’m sorry I disappointed you. ” – Chester MacFarland

Number of Times Seen – 1 (10 Sep 2014)

Brief Synopsis – An American couple traveling in Greece in the early 1960’s and their guide get into trouble when a private eye tracks them down

My Take on it – This is another movie that I was interested in seeing mainly because of the excellent cast (Viggo Mortensen, Kirsten Dunst and Oscar Isaac) and the premise seemed mysterious and intriguing.

Unfortunately, it moved quite slowly and the premise isn’t actually as unique as it seemed at first.

This movie does give the nostalgic feeling of actually being in Europe in the 60’s and from that perspective, I do think it works.

The story could have been much more interesting tho and therefore this movie seems to basically be just a mediocre one that could have been better.

The quote I used for this movie, pretty much sums it all up. 😦

Bottom Line – Was hoping this would be much better than it was. Acting was good, but the story dragged on too much.

Rating – BAFTA Worthy
