lost boys“One thing about living in Santa Carla I never could stomach, all the damn vampires. ” – Grandpa

Number of Times Seen –  Too many to count(cable and 16 Sep 2014)

Brief Synopsis – After a family moves to a new seaside town, the two sons start to suspect that the town is inhabited by vampires.

My Take on it – As a kid I saw this movie soooooo many times on cable. I also remember reading the official novel adapted from the script.

It’s such a fun take on the vampire genre.

It’s obvious that the writers are simultaneously spoofing the genre but also making it fun and adventurous.

I love the cast and it’s great seeing all of them so young.

Very young Corey Haim, Corey Feldman, Jason Patrick, Kiefer Sutherland and Jami Gertz are all very fun to watch here.

Bottom Line – Not the best movie ever made about vampires but the cast and the fact that the script doesn’t take iself seriously makes this a fun movie to watch. Recommended!

Rating – Globe Worthy
