Transformers: Age of Extinction (2014)

transformers-age-of-extinction“I may have started the apocalypse, but you brought your family. And that’s, you know, terrible parenting. ” – Joshua Joyce

Number of Times Seen – 1 (18 Sep 2014)

Brief Synopsis – A few years after the previous movie, the Transformers are being hunted by a black ops organization in order to rid the planet of their kind.

My Take on it – I knew two important facts about this movie before watching it: It was panned by just about everyone and that regardless of that fact, it made tons if money.

I watch movies for entertainment, so I had absolutely no qualms about seeing it because I knew what to exoect going in: a movie with a really bad plot, but with hopefully cool special effects and nice action scenes.

So essential I got everything I could ask for because the plot really did suck, but at the same time I was once again awed by the amazing effects that make us truly believe the interactions with the Transformers.

This is by far the weakest of the quadrilogy (and counting) and eventhough I’m extremely happy that I didn’t waste money on this in the theater, I’m still quite glad I got to see it.

This movie is only worth seeing for the amazing effects which you can probably still enjoy even if you put the sound on ‘mute’

Bottom Line – By far the weakest of this blockbuster series that adds absolutely nothing in plot or storyline. The special effects are great tho and make this a visual wonder from that aspect alone.

Rating – BAFTA Worthy
