So now that I’ve finally recovered from Zoe and my Hitchcock blogathon back in August, I’ve decided to go ahead this time solo and challenge you all to participate in a 007 December Blogathon devoted solely to Ian Fleming’s superspy that we all know and love.
This idea was partially inspired by Luke who rekindled my interest in the Bond movies during my recent Movies From the Hat challenge. (Thanks Luke!)
This time, I’ve decided to change things up a bit and I’m not only allowing multiple bloggers to choose the same movie to review, but am encouraging it openly so that we can get numerous perspectives on the same movie (perhaps even during the same day).
Hopefully, this will open the forum up to some great Bond related discussions
Here is the list of Bond appearances over the years. As I’m sure you’ve noticed, I had included the two “unofficial” movies plus the First appearance of Bond in the 1954 TV show episode Casino Royale for a total of 26 titles.
Let me know which film (s) you’d like to review.
I will start posting the reviews on December 1st
Please send me your review no later than November 27th, so I can plan accordingly.
- Casino Royale – Climax! (1954)

May I take Goldfinger? And like Anna, I may end up going with something else as well but that’s the one I’d really like to do right now. 🙂

Haha! I’ll do two! November is NaNoWriMo so unless I can somehow get that done in October (while having the Halloween marathon) it’ll be tough. I’d take Skyfall for now (just need to double check which other ones are available to me other than that one).

Its a nice change in pace. I’ve done it the past 2 years and its nothing that I’d publish (at least I haven’t found a plot that I’m impressed that much with yet) but as stressful as it gets, its also pretty nice to reach the goal 🙂

Very cool. I like writing short stuff so thats a bit much for me to shoot for. I ghought it was no new writing month or something like that

Very excited for this! I need to look into these films and decide which one sounds best for me. I won’t do any of the Craig films because I feel like I should try something I’m not familiar with. I’ll let you know! 🙂

Hey, I’m gonna totally take the easy way here and offer to do Casino Royale (2006) and Quantum of Solace (2008). I love Daniel Craig as Bond. I have never seen any of the original films except for the ones with Pierce Bronson, but want to offer to review these two since I seriously just watched them again last week! ha ha. Let me know!

Hi Rob! Sorry, am I down for which Dalton one? I can’t remember which one I emailed you about, but I would like to do The Living Daylights! Just let me know. Thanks. Looking forward to this! I’ll do both Dalton ones if you like, he was a great Bond! 🙂

Hey Rob, though it’s already taken, I’d like to do a review of Licence to Kill. I’ve done one on Dalton’s first Bond film so it’s time for me to properly review his second one. I might do a list instead of a straight review, that’d be ok right?
