A Walk Among the Tombstones (2014)

walk among the tombstones“Someone’s kidnapped my wife. I paid them but they killed her anyway. I want you to find the men who did this and bring them to me” – Kenny Kristo

Number of Times Seen – 1 (6 Oct 2014)

Brief Synopsis – A former NYPD detective gets hired to find a gang of men who kidnapped a millionaire’s wife but killed her eventhough the ransom was paid.

My Take on it – Liam Neeson has become known for excelling in roles like this.

On the one hand it may be just a bit too much because anytime that you see him in a movie over the last few years, odds are that he will be portraying this kind of role.

Fortunately tho, he is great in this kind of role and it’s hard not to want to watch him ‘do his thing’ over and over.

The supporting cast isn’t overly memorable but it was nice to see Astro (is that really his name?) as Neeson’s young sidekick who helps him get closer to answers.

As with any good thriller, this one has some great twists and turns along the way that make it fun to watch.

Bottom Line – Pretty good detective story that had some great twists and turns. Neeson is great as always in these kind of roles. Recommended!

Rating – Globe Worthy

  1. Good review. A fine thriller that actually pays attention to the characters and the situations they’re thrown into, much rather than the actual mystery itself. Although that aspect is still compelling.
