Number of Times Seen – 1 (7 Oct 2014)
Brief Synopsis – A lonely wealthy widower has his life turned upside down when he must care for a granddaughter he didn’t know about when his son is sent to prison. He enlists the help of a female neighbor to help raise the girl properly.
My Take on it – One would think that putting Diane Keaton and Michael Douglas together in a movie directed by Rob Reiner would be an overwhelming success.
One would be very wrong….
This movie was complete torture to try and get through. Thankfully it was relatively short. 🙂
None of the characters are interesting and the plot is super thin that it couldn’t hold anything up for longer than a few seconds.
Keaton and Douglas are horrendous opposite one another and you actually can feel yourself rooting for then not to get together.
I was hoping that perhaps the cuteness of Sterling Jerins would help out but neither of the leads have any semblance of good chemistry with her either so she feels like a character nobody wants around.
Bottom Line – Keaton and Douglas are terrible together and have no chemistry what so ever. Even the cuteness of Jerins can’t save this one. Expected more from Rob Reiner.
Rating – Razzie worthy
