Number of Times Seen – 1 (19 Oct 2014)
Brief Synopsis – After the patriatch of a Jewish family passes away, his quarreling children honor him by spending the ritual week of mourning together.
My Take on it – Who doesn’t enjoy a movie that shows a funny dysfunctional family trying to get along when thrust together for ‘family time’?
This movie completely delivers that kind of fun.
The script is cleverly written and gives us characters who feel real in their familial reactions.
The cast, led by Jason Bateman, Jane Fonda and Tina Fey are all excellent and once again proves that great scripts can attract quality actors.
Bottom Line – Clever script with witty family dynamics and characters make this a fun and enjoyable movie to watch. Great cast that work well together. Recommended!
Rating – Globe Worthy
