The Theory of Everything (2014)

theory of everything“I study the marriage of space and time” – Stephen Hawking

Number of Times Seen – 1 (23 Nov 2014)

Brief Synopsis – The biographical story of the love between physicist Stephen Hawking and his wife Jane spanning his long and illustrious career.

My Take on it – Eddie Redmayne and Felicity Jones are both amazing in this movie as Hawking and his wife. Their performances alone make this movie a must see.

I personally wasnt even remotely aware of most of the history told here and it was great learning about their troubled lives and how they both worked together to realize his dreams despite his dilibitating disease.

It wouldn’t surptise me in the least if these two leads and this movie are amongst the frontrunners during the upcoming awards season.

Bottom Line – Excellent acting by the two leads elevates a good story to something even better. Very informative and eye opening biopic. Highly recommended!

Rating – Oscar Worthy

  1. Can’t wait to get to this one. At first I was skeptical that this is just pure Oscar-bait, given that it’s a biopic of a living legend. It seemed kind of weird at first, but I’ve read nothing but great things about it. By the sounds of it Eddie Redmayne is incredible. Felicity Jones too, but Eddie’s gotta do the physical acting bits as well, which sound daunting.
