The Brady Girls Get Married (1981)

the-brady-girls-get-married“If you consider reruns of Gilligan’s Island important….” – Mike Brady

Number of Times Seen – probably 3 times  (TV in the 80’s and 3 Dec 2014)

Brief Synopsis – The Brady family gets together again when Marcia and Jan both get engaged.

My Take on it – I loved watching reruns of The Brady Bunch, Gilligan’s Island, I Dream of Jeannie and of course Bewitched every afternoon as a kid in the 80’s.

The characters from all those shows became beloved friends that whenever there was an opportunity to see a reunion show, I also was interested.

I honestly don’t remember if I first saw this when it aired in 1981, but I do recall being quite excited when I did see this, because I had a chance to see what happened with the Brady family all grown up.

The sad part is that this was a failed attempt to bring back the show (which happened again a decade later) 😦

The humor and style of the original show is carried over here and I must say that despite it not being anything special, they did a great job of recapturing the essence of the original show.

Bottom Line – Very nostalgic for fans of the show. Plot is on par with episodes of the show and who doesn’t enjoy a reunion movie. Recommended!

Rating – Globe Worthy
