“Mr. Bond, you persist in defying my efforts to provide an amusing death for you. ” – Hugo Drax
Number of Times Seen – 2-3 Times (cable in the 80’s and 90’s and 14 Dec 2014)
Brief Synopsis – When a space shuttle goes missing while in transport to England, Bond is sent on a mission to find it.
My Take on it – After numerous movies about space became box office hits, the producers on the Bond series decided to try and capitalize on that and create a space themed Bond film.
As one can imagine, the special effects and space storyline aren’t so great, but this is still pure Bond action.
Roger Moore does it again as 007 and gives us another very enjoyable Bond film.
I loved how they brought back Jaws for this film and he proves that he isn’t only a hired muscle who seems indestructible.
Drax is an ok villain, but at least he thought of creating a new world by choosing proper family planning unlike some of his world domination villainous predecessors.
Bottom Line – Weak attempt at making a Star Wars-like movie, but still an enjoyable Bond experience. Great having Jaws back again. Recommended!
Rating – Globe Worthy

Not the best Bond but that parachute chasing opening is great (alas, the jaws stuntman was not exactly Richard Kiel!). Also really wanted Bond’s dart watch as a kid.
