Toy Story That Time Forgot (2014)

Toy_Story_That_Time_Forgot_Poster“Be thankful for your gifts. They are all around you.” – Angel Kitty

Number of Times Seen – 1 (18 Dec 2014)

Brief Synopsis – On a play date, the toys encounter militant dinosaurs and they must find a way to save themselves.

My Take on it – Once again the people at Pixar decided to “treat” us to a another great addition to their ever expanding universe of stories made for kids and adults alike.

I kinda wish that this was longer because they only managed to hot the tip of the iceberg of potential here and even that was great.

I have always loved Pixar’s movies because of three important reasons:

  1. Nostalgia – it helps bring it viewers back in time to when we were kids and used our imaginations when playing with our toys.
  2. Fun story and characters – yes, we all already know and love Woody, Buzz, Jesse and the rest of Andy and Bonnie’s toys, but to constantly keep revisiting them and loving the way the story is presented is amazing to continue to see from the people of Pixar.
  3. Animation – It just keeps getting better and better as time goes by.  They are the Gold standard for animation for the last twenty years and continue to keep that title with every new movie they make.

Can’t wait until I get to revisit these characters once again when the next movie is made because I know they are far from being done.

Bottom Line – Short movie that I think could have been even more interesting than it already is as a longer one, but still gives us what we always want from Pixar – nostalgia, a fun story and amazing animation. Highly Recommended!

Rating – Oscar Worthy
