Running Scared (1986)

Original Cinema Quad Poster - Movie Film Posters“Hablo, Smith and Wesson? You have the right to remain DEAD. Anything you do will be used against you. You have the right to a CORONER. If you cannot afford one, we will appoint a medical examiner for you. ” – Danny

Number of Times Seen – At least 10 times  (Cable numerous times during the 80’s and 21 Jan 2015)

Brief Synopsis – Two seasoned Chicago detectives decide to quit in order to retire to Florida, but they survive their 30 days notice by being too careful?

My Take on it – I have always enjoyed this movie because it does a great job mixing comedy and action and has such an 80’s feel to it.

Billy Crystal and Gregory Hines are great as partners and we can believe that their characters have worked together for so many years.

Watching them together is so much fun esoecially since unlike Crystal, Hines isn’t perceived as being a comedian.

The music is great here. The theme music works well with the movie and the soundtrack uses tons of great songs that truly embodied 80’s music.

My favorite song is Sweet Feedom.

Check out a clip of the song below

Bottom Line – Great combination of action and comedy. Crystal and Hines work amazingly together and make this such a fun movie to watch. Great musical score and soundtrack. Recommended!

Rating – Globe Worthy
