Just a quick reminder to everyone that in less than 4 weeks, I’ll be starting to post entries for my Meathead March blogathon.

If you’ve already decided on a movie, but havent told me yet, I’d appreciate an update so I can organize things properly.

You gotta love Annie Wilkes!! Except when she *spoilers* shoots that old sheriff. God I hate her when she does that!!

I think in a way that’s why it was in the story. Because you might feel sorry for her slightly, being mad as a box of frogs. I think her shooting that sweet old sheriff (with a sweet old wife!) just cements a hatred for her. Because they were such a lovely old couple.

i always thought it was a callous way to dispose of a character and i wonder if it was goldman or reiner trying to call back to what happens to Martin Balsam in Psycho or Scatman Caruthers in The Shining.

well of course there’s the dreadful stereotyped awfulness of The Quiet Man … but I would pick something like Once, In Bruges, The Guard, Calvary, What Richard Did, Frank, The General, Michael Collins
