Last Night (2010)

last night“It’s funny how you can get up and have absolutely no idea where the day will go. ” – Joanna Reid

Number of Times Seen – 1 (8 Feb 2015)

Brief Synopsis – A married couple apart for one night are both tempted with having affairs with people from their past.

My Take on it – What would happen when faced with temptation without the possibility of being caught?

This movie takes that concept and gives us two people married to each other tempted by fate on the same night where they each must decide whether it’s worth the risk to cheat or remain faithful to their lover.

The script is great and the dialogue that the two main characters have with each other and with their potential partners really help us to get to know them and their lives.

We are drawn in by these conversations and the characters become real to us via the dialogue.

Keira Knightley and Sam Worthington are both great as the couple.

This movie with leave you with so much to ponder even days later.

Bottom Line – Very interesting concept that tries to understand what could possibly lead people to cheat or stay true to their partner in the face of temptation. The script and dialogue are both very engaging and feels real. Recommended!

MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – Jessica Biel auditioned for the role of Joanna Reed.  (via IMDB)

Rating – Globe Worthy
