“I’ll be fine. It’s the guys following us who are about to have a problem. When a dog has a bone, the last thing you want to do is try and take it from ” – Bryan Mills
Number of Times Seen – 2 (25 Jan 2013 and 9 Feb 2015)
Brief Synopsis – Liam Neeson’s former government agent character is attacked while travelling to Turkey with his ex-wife and daughter by relatives of the men he rescued his daughter from in the previous movie.
My Take on it – Here is another example of Hollywood making a sequel solely to earn money.
Which it did manage to do, despite the plot being mediocre.
The story seems so similar to the original that it just feels like an excuse to show Liam Neeson kicking ass.
Some of the action is quite cool, but in the end, it’s just a mediocre Neeson action flick.
I’m tempted to see the third one just to be sure that I dont miss out on something better than this movie was because the potential is there.
Bottom Line – Feels like watching the original movie again. Nothing new here. Same message as the original; Don’t mess with Liam Neeson or his family members.
MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – The film received negative reviews. Despite this critical response, it was a major box office success, earning more than its predecessor, grossing over $376 million at the box office and being the highest grossing film of the series. (via Wikipedia)
Rating – BAFTA Worthy

I liked Taken. Sadly, the sequels have turned me against it somewhat. His daughter letting off hand-grenades al over Istanbul was one of the many terrible moments.

Taken 3 is so much better than this one, don’t rule it out just yet! Sadly nothing will ever top the original, which was such an original idea. Great write up.
