“[singing] Fe, fi, fo, fum / He, hi, ho, hum / I’m a most amazing guy / A most amazing guy am I! / Fe, fi, fo, fum / He, hi, ho, hum / I’m the stuff, I’m telling you! / For here’s what I can do / I can change myself into an elf / Fly up high like the birdies / I can disappear into atmosphere – Peekaboo! / ‘Cuz I know the magic wordies / Fi, fo, fe, foy / Fe, fe, fe, fe… Fi-Fi? I don’t know no Fi-Fi!” – Willie the Giant
Number of Times Seen – Between 3-5 times (Video and 12 Feb 2015)
Brief Synopsis – A re-imagining of the classic tale of Jack and the Beanstalk that features Mickey, Goofy and Donald discovering the gateway to the sky.
My Take on it – I have always enjoyed Disney re-imagining of classic fairy tale stories.
This is one I’ve seen a few times and love they way they tweaked the story to include all 3 top Disney characters and still keep the story interesting and engaging throughout.
The music is done extremely well as is the use of nature in the story.
My favorite character is by far Willy the Giant who adds humor and song to a character usually seen as a brute.
Bottom Line – Fun version of the classic tale of Jack and the Beanstalk. Liked how they found a way to include Mickey, Goofy and Donald and still keep it interesting. Nice music and songs. I loved the character of Willy the Giant. Recommended!
MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – The Golden Harp slightly resembles Cinderella, at least sharing a hairstyle with Cinderella’s hairdo for the ball. (From IMDB)
Rating – Globe Worthy
