1994 was a great year for movies. It even includes some of the best movies of the decade
Once again I had a bit of trouble deciding between #1 and #2 and despite loving them both, #1 is even more powerful and deserves it’s #1 spot.
This year IMHO has one of the best list of movies nominated for Best Picture and all 5 of them actually appear on my top ten list. (A rarity) 🙂

Great list! But I would add Three Colors: Red to the top 10 🙂 Anyhow, the fact that you included The Lion King makes me really happy.
Wong Kar-Wai’s Chungking Express is another masterpiece from 1994 – since I don’t see it on your (really impressive!) list, I strongly recommend you to watch it when you get a chance! 😉

’94 was awesome. I may have been really young and not remember some of the more serious ones but we loved Lion King, Speed and The Mask to bits! I still remember liking Baby’s Day Out and now I’m scared to revisit it because I really don’t think I’d enjoy it anymore..haha!

Definitely a lot of really good movies on this list. And … yes … Shawshank deserves it’s place as number 1.
I might have had Quiz Show a bit higher, too. I really like that flick.

I do too, but I still felt as good as it was, it still was slightly less powerful than the others.
