Brief Synopsis – Our heroes return to Tatooine in order to rescue Han Solo from the clutches of the evil gangster Jabba the Hutt.
My Take on it – This is my favorite movie of the entire series despite the fact that it isn’t necessarily the best.
It’s my favorite solely based on nostalgic reasoning since of the thousands of movies that I’ve seen in my life, this is the movie that I’ve seen the most times of any of them.
The story is great and mixes both action and drama in such a way that you can enjoy it on so many levels.
The special effects are amazingly done and I am continuously amazed by how real it all looks every time I see this movie.
The music by John Williams once again is unbelievably done and is both similar to and distinct from the previous movie’s themes.
I had the pleasure of viewing this with two of my sons and for days afterwards, they kept inundating me with questions related to the movie.
They enjoyed this movie the most of the trilogy and can’t wait for us to begin watching the prequel trilogy in the coming weeks.
Bottom Line – My definite nostalgic favorite of the entire series since it is the movie that I’ve seen the most times of any movie in my lifetime. Great story. Excellent mix of drama and action. Spectacular special effects and music that make this so fun to watch. Highly Highly recommended!
MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – Physicists have calculated that while the Death Star design is theoretically possible, it would take too much money, time and material to be feasible. (From IMDB)
Rating – Oscar Worthy (no change from original review)

The original Star Wars is a little higher for me, but Return of the Jedi is a perfect conclusion for the trilogy. Never understood those Ewok-haters out there. Glad your family liked it too.

I’m the same way! No one completely likes Jar Jar, but he’s not enough to hate the whole movie.
