Brief Synopsis – A group of interstellar criminals travel across the galaxy in order to deliver a dangerous weapon to a forein government before the it’s used to destroy planets.
My Take on it – I am constantly amazed when I see a movie that I like numerous times and find that each subsequent time that I watch it, I enjoy it more and more.
This movie fits into that category very well and this is the 4th time that I’ve seen this movie in the past 6 months.
I was quite excited to watch this again because I love the characters, their interactions and the storyline itself.
As far as I’m concerned this is by far the best movie to have come out of the New Marvel franchise so far.
The action is wondrous, the effects are done extremely well and the storyline moves ta a great pace that we never get bored with what’s going on.
We are truly transported to a different part of the galaxy and we believe the worlds we encounter and personally wish to know more about the worlds we briefly visit.
I know that I’ve said this before, but it is quite reminiscent of the worlds created for Star Wars and I love watching what they created here.
I can’t get enough of the music in this movie because it feels so perfect in every scene but at the same time it gives off a nostslgic vibe of the 70’s and 80’s.
Bottom Line – Movie just gets better and better every time I see it. IMHO, by far, the best group of characters and fun story that the Marvel franchise has given us so far. Great action, effects and storyline that takes us to a distant world and makes us believe it so well. Amazing soundtrack adds to the nostalgic atmosphere. Highly Recommended!
MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – The soundtrack album “Awesome Mix, Vol. 1” reached number one on the US Billboard 200 chart, the first film soundtrack ever to reach number one without a single original song. It is also nominated at the 2015 GRAMMY Awards for Best Soundtrack (From IMDB)
Rating – Oscar Worthy (no change from original review)

So far I’ve watched Guardians twice and will happily rewatch it again. I can’t wait to see more of this galaxy and these characters. Btw, great quote from Gamora.

I disagree but that is what I love about movies. Everyone has differing opinions. Tnx Abbi!

Hard to compare it to TDK, but both are very close in my mind despite being quite different

I would love films like this to be considered for The Oscars. It’s not the best to come out of Marvel (Cap 2 takes that for me) but it proves that Marvel clearly know what they are doing!

Completely. Oscar worthy means that its a 9 or 10 rating. I know the Academy would never nominate something like this despite it doing such a great job. Liked cap 2 alot, but this had an even better original feeling to it.
