“Why can’t you be happy for me and then go home and talk about me behind my back like a normal person?” – Lillian
Number of Times Seen – 2 (25 Jan 2012 and 20 May 2015)
Brief Synopsis – A group of friends try to plan the perfect wedding for one of them resulting in lots of hijinx and laughs.
My Take on it – This movie created the perfect blend of rom-com with raunch to make it funny but not disgusting.
Kirstin Wiig and Maya Rudolph proved with this movie that it IS possible fir female film makers to create a hilarious movie peppered with raunch and still make it feel wholesome.
Wiig and Rudolph bring an all star female comedy cast to join them which results in laugh after laugh after laugh.
I’m a huge fan of 80’s and early 90’s music and this one features a lot of Wilson-Philips.
Bottom Line – Can’t remember the last time I laughed so hard during a movie. Wiig and Rudolph created the perfect blend of raunch and rom-com which doesn’t come off as just trying for the cheap jokes. Amazingly funny cast deliver the goods. I love Wilson-Philips songs! Highly recommended!
MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – Highest grossing R-rated female comedy of all time in the domestic box office, edging out Sex and the City (2008) (From IMDB)
Rating – Oscar Worthy

I love this movie. My best friend is basically Kristen Wiig’s character and she was my Maid of Honour so I always think of it fondly.
