Tnx Boaz!
“Maybe it’s my quaint small town morals, but I don’t do murder. ” – Mike
Number of Times Seen – at least twice (cable in the 90’s and 19 May 2015)
Brief Synopsis – A women on the run from her husband after stealing his money, hides out in a small town and plots her next crime.
My Take on it – In the 80’s and 90’s Linda Fiorentino had numerous roles where she used her sexyness to inspire men to do things they wouldn’t normally do.
In Vision Quest (1985), Matthew Modine was her beau who was inspired to be a wrestling champ by her.
In Gotcha! (1986), she convinced Anthony Edwards to become an international spy.
In this movie, as a sexy femme fatale she uses her sexuality to get numerous men to do many things they probably wouldn’t have done otherwise.
Basically, she was groomed to play this role and she truly is amazing at it.
The plot itself is somewhat lacking because there are too many ideas that just dont work as well as they could have.
As her main love interest, Peter Berg is lackluster here and I can understand why he stopped acting to become a director. 😉
Bottom Line – Fiorentino is great here as the femme fatale, but the story has too many far fetched plot points that keep it from being great. Proof that Berg is a much better director than actor. Recommended!
MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – Linda Fiorentino was widely lauded by critics for her performance in this movie but was denied an Academy Award nomination because it came out on TV before a theatrical release. (From IMDB)
Rating – BAFTA Worthy

I think I liked the plot more than you did, but absolutely the main greatest thing about it was her awesome performance, it was an instant classic femme fatale!
