Number of Times Seen – 1 (11 Jun 2015)
Brief Synopsis – In modern day NYC, 4 very different people’s lives keep intersecting while each tries to find the true meaning of happiness.
My Take on it – I was initially intrigued by the premise and the non linear presentation, but unfortunately the way this was done just made things seems quite confusing. Perhaps that’s on purpose because this does deal with head injuries 😉
This method truly detracts from the fluidity of the storylines and character interactions and makes it a chore to sit through the whole thing.
The cast is quite talented and if they had a better script to work with, this might have been much more enjoyable.
Because of all this, this movie feels only slightly above average especially since it had the potential to be even better.
Bottom Line – Interesting idea, but the constant nonlinear movements between the different characters takes away from the fluidity of the story and actually makes it less enjoyable. Nice and talented cast that are hindered by the script and its boundaries making this a slightly more than average movie.
MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – The films story is inspired by two different head injuries that director Jill Sprecher endured. (From IMDB)
Rating – BAFTA Worthy
