“Never interrupt me when I’m talking to myself. ” – McComb
Number of Times Seen at keast 5 times – (Theater in 1994, video, cable and 29 Jul 2015)
Brief Synopsis – A policeman on a secret agency to prevent time travel crimes unearths a devious plan that stems from someone in the high levels of government and must try to stop it before he is erased from existence.
My Take on it – As you all must know by now, I’m a real sucker for time travel movies and this one does some things right and slightly misses in a few other instances.
The concept of having a time travel police force is a great one and I’m surprised it isn’t utilized more.
As a kid, one of my favorite shows on tv was Voyagers, which was about a group of time travelers who needed to set history right when something goes wrong.
This movie has a similar concept but the problem I have with it is that they keep things way too simple and short.
If they had made the story more complex and have us spend more time than 90 minutes in their world, it could have worked even better IMHO.
I’m not the biggest fan of Jean Claude Van Damme and his movies, but I liked his character in this movie.
What’s even better is that the chemistry between him on his on screen partner Mia Sara works extremely well and feels belieavable.
As with all Van Damme movies, this one is filled with very well choreographed fight scene and some silly one-liners.
Bottom Line – Fun time travel action flick that might have been even better if it was longer and the story not been so simple. I liked the chemistry between Mia Sara and Van Damme and we could believe their relationship. There is so much to do with this kind of concept that I’m surprised it isn’t attempted more often. Recommended!
MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – Agent Walker always runs or is in fast motion (such as falling) when entering/exiting time. Senator McComb walks when entering/exiting time. This signifies that one has plenty of “time” and the other doesn’t. (From IMDB)
Rating – Globe Worthy

It’s like Van Damme’s shot at doing Arnold. Still, it’s great cheesy fun & Mia Sara… *sighs clasping both hands over heart*

I love the film but if you had a time machine would you use it to just go back to the 30s etc. I want to see Van Damme fighting dinosaurs!
