MovieRob’s SepHi All!

In continuing with this feature, here is a quick roundup on my reviews of this past month – this is a way you can possibly catch up on reviews or announcements that you perhaps missed.

So here it is:

  • Number of Movies reviewed – 40  (click here to see all of September’s Reviews)
  • Number of new movies viewed for the first time – 25

How I rated the movies this month:

  • Oscar Worthy – 10
  • Globe Worthy – 17
  • BAFTA Worthy – 7
  • Razzie Worthy – 6
  • Longest Movie watched – Titanic (1997) – 194 Min
  • Shortest Movie watched – The Crush (2010) 15 Min

    • Worst (or dumbest) movie watched this month
  •  Fountain, The (2006)

Thanks again to Sherise for choosing such a great and diverse Genre for September

  • In addition to Genre Grandeur, I run a feature called Genre Guesstimation where I review other movies in the monthly GG in order to see whether I think they deserve to be part of my favorites in the given genre!
  • Genre Guesstimation Reviews – 4 (1 Genre Grandeur Worthy)

Thanks to all my loyal followers for helping make this all happen!

BTW,  Genre Grandeur for October (chosen by me) will be Time Travel Movies, so send me your review of your favorite one(s) to timetravel@movierob.net before 25th October in order to take part!   Try to think out of the box!

Looking forward to seeing what you all have in mind!

  • A few months ago, I initiated a new feature where Darren of Movie Reviews 101 and I challenge each other every week to watch a movie of our choice that the other has never seen.

In September, I watched the following movies at Darren’s request for the challenge:

  1. Tomorrow When the War Began (2011)
  2.  Dead Man (1995)
  3.  Fountain, The (2006)
  4. Southland Tales (2006)
  5. Manic (2001)

Of these movies, my favorite was Manic (2001)

Thanks Darren for recommending all of these for me 🙂

  • In October, Darren of Movie Reviews 101 and I will be running a Stephen King blogathon where each of us have decided to review 31 of his adaptations.  We invite anyone interested to join in on the fun.  It’s still not too late!! For more info, click here.

Hope you all enjoy it!

Have a fantastic month!

-Rob
