Being that Darren and I both love watching lots and lots of movies, we decided to start a new weekly series where we challenge each other to watch a new movie that we enjoyed and feel the other one might also.
The rules are simple; it has to be a movie we have NEVER seen, (not just not reviewed)
Every Tuesday, we will both post both reviews on our sites.
Let’s hope we both can add lots of new favorites to our personal lists
For my review this week, here are my thoughts on…..
“They’re testing us, Nic. Like little rats” – Jonah
Number of Times Seen – 1 (16 Nov 2015)
Brief Synopsis – Three college friends on a trip across the US decide to try and track down a hacker who is sending them strange messages.
My Take on it – This is another of Darren’s choices that I had never heard of before and found the premise to sound quite interesting.
Unfortunately, I felt that they didn’t develop the idea well enough and there are too many places where the movie drags on too much.
There is too much left for the viewer to try and figure out on his own especially when there are a few ways of interpreting those moments.
The movie does bring up a lot of fascinating philosophical questions and you will ponder them even hours after you watch this, but the problem is that you will probably never be able to get to a conclusion because there doesn’t seem to be a definitive one.
Bottom Line – Interesting idea but the movie drags in too many places along the way. Leaves the viewer with too many unexplained information that can be interpreted in a few different ways. Liked some of the philosophical questions raised with the premise but ultimately it feels like a good idea not developed well enough.
MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – The IP address that Nic and Jonah use to trace Nomad’s location in Nevada, 192.117.255.147, actually belongs to “SMILE – Internet Gold” which is one of Israel’s largest communication companies that provides web connectivity to thousands of subscribers, in both business and residential environments. (From IMDB)
Rating – BAFTA Worthy

I agree and like your review. This also spooked me out a little (but then I get scared easily and don’t watch that many horror movies).
