“I’ve lost all faith in science.” – Letha
Number of Times Seen – At least 5 times (cable and video as a kid and 15 Dec 2015)
Brief Synopsis – The twins from the original movie are back and decide to see what life is like outside of Witch Mountain
My Take on it – I actually can’t believe that this was what they did with a sequel to the original movie.
I recall enjoying this as a kid on cable, but now I can’t understand why.
In the original, we felt the innocence of the children and their quest to understand what was going on with them, but here, all we get is pure silliness.
Yes, I agree that this was the kind of live action movie that Disney loved to make back then, but it hasn’t aged well and was a real disappointment to rewatch.
Perhaps my younger self would still like it, but the (almost) 42 year old in me wasn’t impressed at all.
Bottom Line – Very silly sequel, that loses all of the innocent magic of the original and just comes across as really boring.
MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – Bette Davis agreed to do the movie because it was a picture her grand children could watch. Moreover, Davis had three people tending to her on the set throughout the shooting of the film. (From IMDB)
Rating – Razzie Worthy
