“You are a kite dancing in a hurricane, Mr Bond. ” – Mr. White
Number of Times Seen – 1 (27 Dec 2015)
Brief Synopsis – James Bond is back and is sent on a personal mission by someone from his past.
My Take on it – Once again, Daniel Craig is back as James Bond and we are given a very good Bond movie that is action packed and enjoyable that is very fitting for this day and age.
I seem to have noticed tho, that the Craig Bond films so far have alternated between being excellent and only very good.
This outing is pretty good, but doesn’t at all come close to being as entertaining as Casino Royale (2006) and Skyfall (2012) were. It is slightly better than Quantum of Solace (2008) tho.
Casting Christoph Waltz as the villain was a great choice, but he is very underused here and doesn’t feel as menacing as he should.
The plot is great because it involves so many aspects of the modern world and technology that it represents today’s information and online world quite well.
Carig is one of the best actors to portray Bond and I hope he continues to do at least one or two more films in the series in the coming years.
Bottom Line – Great to have Bond back in action. Craig’s Bond films seem to alternate between good and great, this falls into the former category. Waltz is perfect as the villain but isn’t utilized enough. As always, very timely plot that fits perfectly into the Bond repertoire. Recommended!
MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – At age fifty during filming and title launch and age fifty-one when Spectre (2015) was released, Italian actress Monica Bellucci becomes the oldest ever actress to play a leading Bond Girl role beating Honor Blackman who was thirty-eight years old when she starred in Goldfinger (1964). Bellucci was born in 1964, the same year that Goldfinger (1964) was released. (From IMDB)
Rating – Globe Worthy

Cool review, I thought Spectre was good and there were plenty of moments of awesomeness, however, I had similar negatives to you, but for me I was ultimately disappointed because I had such high expectations

It’s hard to follow a great movie with another great movie. I think that’s why the even films tend to be a bit of a let down. However Spectre does a great job connecting all the dots, and the action sequences are some of the best in the franchise. Unfortunately the song was a huge disappointment for me. I hope Craig sticks around for one more as I don’t think he should walk away before properly ending his run, which I don’t think this does.

completely agree that they structured the story well, unfortunately, just wasnt good enough. so ur saying it’s like the star trek franchise where the evens are great and the odds are so-so. one more from him would be nice

That seems to be the case. And the new Star Trek Beyond might be following the current Bond trend, so nice link there!
